Llyn-y-Fan Fach is situated in the on the western edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, South Wales.
A legend connected to this lake relates that a local shepherd witnessed a young woman emerging from the lake and fell in love with her. She agreed to marry him on condition that he would not hit her three times. They brought up a family and lived happily for years in a nearby village called Myddfai. Unfortunately, over time, he did hit her three times as gentle admonishments, and she had to return to the lake.
After a few years of waiting for the right conditions for this snowscape of the lake and the mountain peaks reflected on its surface, I finally got the shots I wanted. This peak is Cwar Du Bach.
